Apple could sell up to 8M iPhone 5s and 5c units over launch weekend analyst says

Image
While many market watchers are concerned that Apple has not announced preorder numbers for the iPhone 5c and may face supply constraints with the iPhone 5s, one analyst believes launch weekend sales will blow past last years record setting iPhone 5 performance. According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apples silence may simply be a strategy to conceal the exact iPhone 5s and 5c sales breakdown from competitors, and does not necessarily mean preorders for the plastic shelled device are weak. In fact, Kuo said in a note to investors on Wednesday that Apple will likely ship 6 to 8 million new iPhones over the devices first weekend of sales. By comparison, Apple racked up 5 million sales when the iPhone 5 debuted last year. Earlier in the day, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster forecast 5 to 6 million unit sales, a more conservative number based on the prior models in-store launch sales. Kuo believes Apple wont show its hand until the launch weekend is over, combining total iPhone 5s and 5c ...

The iPad Air Plus could include a novel Stylus

Image
Apple went last 4th December to the Patent and Trademark US to register your new idea, a Stylus. It is not the first time that the Cupertino Company is working on one of these tools but until today, none of its six generations of tablets has included. With the iPad Air Plus (until recently known as iPad Pro) on the horizon, a device for professional use we have been talking for many months, it seems obvious that both news could be related.  The paper presented at the American entity describes “a stylus with architecture for signal detection and demodulation which allows synchronization between the stylus and the screen”. What is surprising is that the patent is dated to December 4, indicating that this is accessories that have been prepared in recent months.  For some reason, Apple has believed all along that a stylus was not necessary for any of its iPads whatever their size, therefore, no reason to believe that future generations of iPad Air 2 may include, leaving us tray more feasib...

The HTC Hima could have a screen of 5 2 inches

Image
As many already know, the codename of the new flagship HTC is Hima. A few weeks ago leaked all features of this smartphone, but it seems that one of them was wrong. According to GSMArena, the new top-end of the Asian firm will have a screen of 5.2 inches and not five inches, as was said above.  These dimensions would have found out thanks to some leaked by a French medium called NoWhereElse images. Besides the new size of your panel, it appears that HTC logo will be smaller than the HTC One M8, a point that will improve the aesthetics of the terminal. Furthermore, it is known that the resolution of your screen is 1920 x 1080 pixels, with which we can see all the contents reproduce at an acceptable quality.  Likewise, it is said that inside incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor eight cores running at two gigahertz. The chip is one of the best on the market, so we will ensure great performance of the terminal. To him accompany three gigabytes of RAM, with which we can run all a...

This could be Nokias answer to ipod shuffle

Image
Once again @evleaks gives us some interesting news. And this time its about Nokia . The picture (above) shows a basic audio device that, he says, is similar to Apples entry-level music player, except that it has NFC to allow easy pairing to either a smartphone or to other speakers and headphones. Theres also a micro USB charging and/or sync port, as well as some very simple controls, although we cant see if there are any buttons on the far side. As to whether this thing -- which may be called the "Guru" -- is just another Bluetooth receiver and DAC for headsets (like Nokias existing BH-221), or whether it has local storage and other features of its own, well probably find out in Nokias event.
