Taiwanese giant Asus, best known for its Nexus and FonePad range of tablets, is all set to enter Indian handset market in the end of Q2 of this year, a senior official over at Asus told GizBot. Originally introduced at the CES 2014, the Asus ZenFone series powered by Intel will finally make its way into India during the June/ July time frame. The latest ZenFone series was first launched in Taiwan and China earlier this year, with the company also announcing that the Intel-powered Android handsets will be made available in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. I just hope the new Samsung Galaxy S5 is better than the G4. Really surprised they are sticking with the physical home button. For me it’s nice to hear that physical buttons are still present. Googles Android KitKat 4.4 is already in the wild for a couple of days now and was shipped with Nexus 5.  However, Google just announced that Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 users would get their own KitKat 4.4 upgrade today when the OTA update starts rolling out. Google further states that only WiFi - only 7  inch slates would be getting the KitKat 4.4 update and those with the mobile data version would have to wait yet a little longer. At this time, there is no word on when Android 4.4 would be available for other Nexus devices but perhaps in the very near future.
