The iPad Air Plus could include a novel Stylus

Image
Apple went last 4th December to the Patent and Trademark US to register your new idea, a Stylus. It is not the first time that the Cupertino Company is working on one of these tools but until today, none of its six generations of tablets has included. With the iPad Air Plus (until recently known as iPad Pro) on the horizon, a device for professional use we have been talking for many months, it seems obvious that both news could be related.  The paper presented at the American entity describes “a stylus with architecture for signal detection and demodulation which allows synchronization between the stylus and the screen”. What is surprising is that the patent is dated to December 4, indicating that this is accessories that have been prepared in recent months.  For some reason, Apple has believed all along that a stylus was not necessary for any of its iPads whatever their size, therefore, no reason to believe that future generations of iPad Air 2 may include, leaving us tray more feasib...

Air Umbrella uses air flow to shelter you from the rain

Image
A team of Chinese designers has taken to Kickstarter to fund a nifty little idea called Air Umbrella. It’s an umbrella that’s powered by a “force field” of air. It uses this to replace the fabric in a normal umbrella, with the air flow deflecting the rain drops from you. The inventors have already received more pledges than they asked for – right now around $17,000 have been pledged by people eager to replace their umbrellas with something more high-tech, and the goal was just $10,000. There are 9 days to go in the Kickstarter campaign, but since the goal has been surpassed this thing should become reality. There will be three models of the Air Umbrella. The smallest product, apparently aimed at women, will be 30cm long, will weigh 500g, and will have 15-minute battery life. There will also be a variant measuring 50cm, weighing 800g, and coming with 30-minute battery life. Both of these have fixed sizes. The third variation, however, will be extendable, from a minimum length of 50cm to...

MacBook Air Better Battery Life But No Retina Display

Image
All the power you want all day long…but no Retina display! The new MacBook Air has finally arrived with an incredible change to battery life thanks to the new fourth generation Intel Haswell processor, however, we will still have to wait for the Retina display upgrade. All of Apple‘s other high end devices (the iPhone 5, the MacBook Pro and the iPod touch) all have the Retina display, so why can’t  we have this wondrous visual feast in the new MacBook Air?  Well it all comes down to this: with the new Haswell chip installed, it was a trade off between extended battery life and the Retina display.  The battery life won, hands down, with the new processor on board, the focus was on battery longevity.  And with such a fantastic display anyway, do you care? The 11-inch MacBook Air’s display measures a mere 4.86 millimetres thin and features a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, while the 13-inch model has a resolution of 1440×900 pixels!  Both sizes have L...

New iPad Air Lighter Thinner

Image
Apple announced the iPad Air, its fifth-generation iPad, October 22 in San Francisco at the companys annual unveiling event. Thinner, lighter, and with a more powerful processor, the 9.7-inch iPad Air with Retina Display brings some design and performance enhancements to the best-selling tablet, but not as many additions as we had hoped for, or as rumors suggested. In fact, wed say that Apple missed some opportunities to wow us with a tablet that could have perhaps had a larger screen with higher resolution, a higher-megapixel camera, or laptoplike accessories. At the very least, this was Apples chance to recapture its spirit of innovation and give us something different, rather than what amounts to a polished iteration of what we already had. For instance, theres no gold-hued version as with the iPhone 5S, and Apple mentioned nothing about incorporating the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that uses biometric data to unlock the phone and approve purchases. Also, by kee...
