Samsung reportedly working on 8 inch and 10 inch AMOLED tablets
Recently, at an analyst meet in South Korea, JK Shin, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications at Samsung had revealed that company would renew its focus on tablets . Following the strategy, it seems, the South Korean manufacturer is gearing up to introduce its new tablets featuring 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED displays. Korean publication Naver claims that Samsung would start mass producing AMOLED displays in 8-inch and 10-inch sizes in early 2014. Further, the site speculates that Samsung might launch one of the two models (8-inch and 10-inch) alongside the 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 early next year. Notably, Samsung has been using LCD displays for its mid-range Galaxy Tab 3 range, while it uses AMOLED display in the high-end tablets. Considering that Samsung has been using AMOLED in its premium range of tablet, we could assume that the alleged tablets with 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED displays would be priced accordingly.
