LG G Pen stylus or wearable
On the site of the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) has recently appeared a patent application for a device called LG G Pen, which suggests that a stylus made by the Korean and intended for use with smartphones and tablets including third parties. Some details, however, would suggest more wearable in a new product.
It’s called LG G Pen and appeared a few days ago, at the beginning of the month, on the site of the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), the US agency responsible for the approval of the patents. According to the document, the pattern will be analyzed in three months, a standard time, which gives no indication concerning possible time to market. However, things get more complicated when trying to figure out what it is.
From the name it you could think of a stylus made by the Korean and thought perhaps to be used on smartphones and tablets third party and not just produce. However, in the documents, there is no explicit reference to a feature of this type, actually there’s just no reference to the fact that it is a digital pen. The passage more could bring to a definition of this type in fact simply reads: “portable electronic unit for the wireless reception, storage and / or transmission of data and messages.” A closer look then you could advance another hypothesis, more plausible though in a sense more surprising: the LG G Pen, if you ever see the light, it may not be a simple stylus for touch screens but a wearable device like smartwatch!
In the sections of the document reserved for signs for identifying fact abound the terms that refer to smartwatch and other wearable device with similar functionality. Moreover, with the horizon of the era of the Internet of Things such a product would be perfectly in line, although at the moment it might look like an object “mystery” of which difficulty you might imagine use and above advantages. To learn more, then, that you just wait and wait and see.
